Background

This is a SWR - Power Meter that operates over the H.F. Radio frequency range of 1.5 to 30 MHz.  Because of a series capacitor used to adjust frequency response the meter does not work a lower frequencies.

In order to test the GRC-193 transmitter a power meter with a higher capacity than the Bird Wattmeter is needed.  This unit uses a 12 each 600 Ohm parallel resistors to get to it's 200 Watt CW rating and so is repairable, unlike many of the more modern high power terminations.  Looks like New Old Stock (NOS) and is date stamped 1981.  Designed to mount on the wall of a communications shelter like the S-250.
