HP 3437A System Voltmeter
© Brooke Clarke 2009
Background
The 3427A was one of the early HP-IB
instruments and was aimed at use in automated systems rather than bench
top use. A clue is that it's 21 inches deep!
It can only measure voltage.
3 1/2 digits and up to 5,700 readings per second (packed) or 3600 readings per second (ASCII).
0.1, 1 and 10 Volt input ranges.
Input connector is a 3 lug triax so the adapter shown in the top photo is a Pomona 5300 Triax to BNC-f.
Being an early instrument there is a lot of information about how the HP-IB works in the manual.
