4104583 Six-port measuring circuit
August 1, 1978 324/638; 324/95; 324/650 (U.S.A.)
I learned about the 6-port during a
visit to NBS (now NIST) around 1970 +/- 10 years. This circuit
uses 6 scalar power detectors to make vector measurements of microwave
components. This is very different from a vector network analyzer
that processes the microwave signals as vectors.
