PVS-5A Night Vision Goggles

Have these to develop a battery adapter to replace the BA-5567A/U LiSO₂ military battery. In Fig 1 above notice that the positive (+) end of the battery goes into the PVS-5A battery compartment and that the negative (-) battery terminal is the button, i.e. this battery has revers polarity compared to a flashlight battery.

Versions

PVS-5 NSN 5855-

Uses one BA-5567/U Lithium battery.

PVS-5A NSN 5855-00-150-1820

Same as PVS-5.

PVS-5B NSN 5855-01-228-0938

Uses either two AA batteries (BA-3058U) or one BA-5567/U Lithium battery.

PVS-5C NSN 5855-01-228-0936

Same as PVS-5B but has high-light cutoff feature.

Versions

The BA-5567/U LiSO₄ military battery was developed to replace the BA-1657/U Mercury Battery. The BA-5367/U is a LiMnO₂ version.

PVS-4 Battery Caps

The PVS-4 Night Vision Sight, Individual Served Weapon (Wiki) has female threads on the sight and male thread on the cap, opposite of the PVS-5. Also the thread pitch is different. Wiki lists these varients: AN/TVS-5, AN/PVS-8, AN/PVS-20, NVS-700, NVS-800, Auto NVS-1, Auto NVS-2, NVS-T 700, NVS-T 800, IWS NL-84, NL-87, NL-89, Star-Tron, MVM-4, ITT F4960. I don't know if these have the same battery cap?

To develop a battery adapter for the PVS-4 I will need a PVS-4 (the model that uses the BA-5567 battery) so that the battery compartment can be measured.
It does not need to work or even have the image tubes.
